Hello all!
It’s been a while. As the busy holiday season has now come and gone, it’s time for us here at Dream Wizards to get back to our normal grind. For me, that means finally finishing the project I’ve hinted at for months now: our brand-new website!
First though, you may notice as you click around the blog a bit that things look different. Specifically, none of the articles from last year are available! This is because of a technical snafu with the blog that has caused us to temporarily lose all of our older data. Everything from before the launch of our new website (yeah, yeah I’m getting to it) has disappeared due to our need for a new domain to host the blog. That’s right, you also may have noticed that the blog is now hosted on its own domain, dreamwizardsblog.com. There are quite a few technical reasons for this that I don’t really want to get in to, and you probably don’t want to read about. Soon, though, everything will be back to normal around here. In the meantime, let’s talk about the new toy: our new website!
If you’re accessing this story from Facebook or Twitter, or if you found it randomly on Google, you may not have noticed that DreamWizards.com has gotten a face lift. We have been working extensively over the past five months to redesign and enhance our old, outdated website to move it and Dream Wizards into the current technological era. Take a look at some screenshots of the homepage below.

We worked with Crystal Commerce to design this site in order to be more in line with what others in the hobby industry are doing. Many of you may be familiar with the Crystal Commerce platform if you’ve ever visited sites like Channel Fireball or ARG. Much like those sites, we wanted to build a website that would allow us greater flexibility to connect with our customers and – most importantly – move our business to the internet. With the launch of the new site, I’m proud to announce that Dream Wizards has started taking online orders for almost everything in our inventory! This means that you can shop at Dream Wizards from your home, secure pre-orders of hot products, and register for events from your computer, tablet, or mobile device no matter where you are in the world!
In addition to moving our store online, we’ve also moved our Buylist online too! This means you can use our Buylist tool (or go to dreamwizards.com/buylist) to check out what we’re paying on your Magic cards! At the time of launch, we’re focusing on Magic cards on our online buylist. We hope to expand to Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokemon (and maybe Force of Will) in the future.

For those wondering about the blog, it’ll be up and running at full capacity next week, including all of our old blog posts. The appearance may be off for a while as well, as I work on a redesign of the blog to better reflect our new website.
